Benefits of Chair Pilates and Yoga for Older Adults

Gentle Chair Pilates and Yoga for Seniors

The most important thing we can do as we get older is to keep moving and reduce prolonged sitting!

It’s important to encourage our seniors whether it’s a family member, or a friend to keep moving as they get older for many reasons I will explain below.

As we age, our muscles and joints become tight and weak, which affects our walking, balance, and everyday living tasks.

The three important areas of health for seniors are strength work, balance, and fitness (cardiovascular) to maintain a good quality of life.

Seniors Pilates and Yoga is a gentle safe way to move and help improve mobility, flexibility, strength, and balance.

  4. Rest anytime and listen to your body.
